RM of Wood River’s story

The Rural Municipality of Wood River No. 74 was incorporated as a rural municipality on December 9, 1912. It lies in the southwest part of Saskatchewan, and its municipal office is in Lafleche.

The RM takes in the communities of Lafleche, Melaval and Woodrow. Thomson Lake Regional Park is also within its boundaries. Today the municipality is run by an elected council and an appointed administrator, who meet on the second Tuesday of every month.
